Research Interests
My current research is focused on developing a tectonic history for the Pearya terrane, on the northernmost end of Ellesmere Island. I am addressing this issue by a) constraining the origin of the terrane's meta-igneous basement with zircon U/Pb geochronology, trace element analysis and whole-rock geochemistry, b) examining the provenance of detrital zircon populations in Neoproterozoic to Paleozoic sediments with U/Pb and Lu/Hf data, and c) comparing these data to that from studies of other Caledonide and circum-Arctic terranes.
